Iamsterdam

Well, this is going to be my last post in 2010... Tonight I'll leave my home to go to Amsterdam, and visit my lovely aunt for a few days. So I'll spend my new years eve in Amsterdam =). It's some kind of a tradition, I guess this will be the 7th year in a row I'll spend new years eve over there. But I still love it! It's just beautiful to see all those nice firework sparkling in the air, above such a beautiful city <3. But that means that the next post will be in 2011, since I'll go home the first of January. Right Nowwww

Hi ladies! How's life? I'm having (if you don't count the school-spending houres) a great time! In five minutes, I'll go by bus to the city, where I'll met a good friend of me. We're (hopefully) gonna find some nice presents for his brother, and when we're finished there, we're going to his home, where we're gonna make music, music and music. He plays the bass in our band =). And then, I'll have a dinner over there, and tonight I'll be coming home. Excited!

The VOICST of Holland

Hey there! Wanted to share two videos of a (Dutch) band I really like: Voicst. I know, both of the vids are already two years old (time flies!), but I like them very much! The first one (Feel like a rocket) is nice, the second (Everyday I work on the road) is a little more special to me, since I sang this song with the band on our very first performence :). I get it: I like the colour white (Still don't know if it's actually a colour..). However, I like it. Especially for rooms. It has something: It's clean, but if you combine it with some creamy-shades, it'll look very nice. Though, that's what I think...

Just a bit

I'm a fanatic OOR-magazine reader (Thanks a lot, people who desicovered the LIBRARY!). It's about music, music and music, and sometimes you'll find an interesting interview with a band you don't recognize. For me, that was 'Mumford and Sons'. And now, I realized that their debut song 'Litlle Lion Man' makes me feel really happy. Hope you'll like this one!

If I go...

Sometimes you just think a pair of shoes is made for you. Like this pair of Urban Outfitters. Even though they are on sale now, they still cost €130.. But they are very beautiful, I think. If I have the money and I decide to actually buy them, I would combine this pair with a flirty girly dress and a seventies flapper hat (as a contrast), or just sober and a bit raw with cargo-pants, and a loose creamy-white blouse. And, okay, again that flapper hat. I'm just so in love with that hat!

Today I checked out some pictures on Natalie's blog, and found some nice room-pictures. Weird, but I seriously want to clean my room (!) and make it a nicer place.. I think my mum will love Natalie by now :)

Like a bullet

Do you know that feeling when you discover a really cool webshop, full of beautifull necklaces, dresses, etc? I had that feeling like five minutes ago. The shop I'm talking about is bonadrag, and they sell my 'if-I-had-the-money-I-would-immediately-buy-this-one' necklace. They're all one of a kind and made of crystals and old bullets. Unfortunately the price is too bad (A small one is about 320 dollars), but I hope that I'll find a knock-off someday...

Hey there lovely people! How's life? I'm super-excited. Wanna know why? Because I'm going to perform with my band, tommorow. We'll play three covers and I think it's gonna be awesome. And I recognized a kind of 'schedule' in my day planning tommorow: Music (Three covers with my band), Food (Christmas breakfast at school), Music (Repetition), Food (Eating with five members of the band at S.'s place), Music (Just make some randomly noise at S.'s place). Soo.. I'm really excited :). Hope you'll have some nice breakfast too!

Btw, I found this nice pic, and I really liked the shoes. I think they're very lovely.

Hey there ladies! I'm writing you a short post, because I'm quite buzzy at the time. I have to learn German for tomorrow, which takes a lot of my time. But I have one thing tonight to rejoice: GLEE! Something about them

Talking about shoes.. As you might know, I'm in love with Converse's  Alls Stars for a while now (About four years?), and I wear my babies very often, especially the high white ones are almost gone because of the mud, rain and other messy stuff they've walked through. But a few months ago I saw this new sneaker. Not even nice as my Converse's, but I like them as well. I totally understand if you think they're too rough or 'raw', but I kinda like them. There's just something about them. Well, these sneakers will be at my shoe-wishlist from now on I guess. What do you think?

My dear Santa Claus..

Hi there lovely people! How did your weekend began? I just had a sleepover with a good friend of me, she turned 16. We had a great time, yesterday evening we talked for hours, and we both were quite tired when we fell asleep. Well, it was around a half past two in the morning, and we had a long day at school behind. But that was not what I wanted to tell you about. I wanted to show you these anklebooties of Acne. I thinks they're pretty weird, but there's something about them and it really appeals to me. They remind me a bit of Stella McCartney's heels, autumn/winter 2008. These shoes. Do you like them? JACQUELINE GOVAERT #01

As you know, I'm a huge fan of Dutch singer Jacqueline Govaert. Her voice, songs, performance: I love it all. First, she was the lead-singer of Krezip, but Krezip broke up a-year-and-a-half ago, and now she's solo. I went with a good friend to her solo-concert (the 7th of October), and it was absolutely AWESOME. Seriously, she's the best.

Give me some..

Hey chicks! How was your day? Mine went pretty good! I went to a friend of me, (J. He's also in the band) and we maked some music. Today we focused on covers, so we did (Just vocals and acoustic guitar) a few. Also 'Everyday I work on the road' by Dutch band Voicst. So bad they broke up! I thought it was really fun!

Don't know what's happening

Hey lovers! I actually don't know what's happening to me, but I think I'm in love with Minnetonka's. I always said I don't like them, but since I've seen so many photo's of well-dressed girls, I fell more and more attracted to them. Especially when I saw this pair @ Felicia's Frithiof blog. She wears them with a kind of flair I haven't seen before. Maybe I should search for a cheaper fake pair, because they'll cost around €100! What do you think?

Some great tunes

Hey! I thought it would be nice to show you some of my favorite songs at the moment. Not just-in, but I like them a lot. I heard the first one a few months ago, a friend of me recommend it. I heard the second one on a small festival last summer. It's a cover from a dutch band which I really like: Destine. I'm not a huge fan of the original song, but I think this cover is just awesome. A few days ago I took a look at my mailbox (What do you mean, exciting :p), and I got a newsletter of my favourite singer EVER, Jacqueline Govaert. I found out there was made a few video's 'around the making of' of her first solo-album. I checked the first video, (AWESOME, She's getting even more awesome by every tweet, letter, etc), and found out, that I saw myself at the last shot!
